Isolation Creation Self Portrait Series: Parvati

For the next of the Isolation Creation Portrait Series, I decided to recreate the divine Parvati (Sanskrit: पार्वती).

She is the Hindu goddess of fertility, love, beauty, harmony, marriage, children, and devotion; as well as of divine strength and power.

In crazy times like these I feel we all need a little (or a lot) of love, beauty and motherly care - all which gives us strength and courage to follow on with our lives.

Using part of my collection of trinkets from trips to India, many moons ago endeavoured to embody the divine energy that Parvati is all about.
